You know what buddy, fundamentally you're completely right - it's about finding housemates whom you like, whom you can relate to etc. And on a grander scale, I wouldn't like a Welsh housemate if they weren't my cup of tea - take Dave from BB11. However, if I feel similarly about a variety of housemates, I am naturally prone to wanting to support the Welsh candidate. Here's why - well, as you know i'm extremely patriotic for Wales and hence I don't see anything wrong with anything associated with Wales; well of course not everything, but I reckon you know what I mean. On another note though, and even more importantly, I think since 2006, when I first watched BB and became hooked to Glyn, the patriotic Welsh boy, I think i've always wanted to see another 'Glyn' if that makes sense? I look up to the guy because of his patriotism to Wales, his values in the house and his career as a Welsh teacher after having come out of the show. Hence, when I think of Big Brother, I think of Glyn and that's why the Welsh nationality thing plays such a big role for me in whether or not I support a housemate. Not to mention the fact that Rachel was also Welsh. I hope that explains it a bit for you dude. Of course it's ridiculous to support a housemate just because of their nationality but end of the day, I end up glorifying Luke A's personality because he's Welsh, and I just can't help it. It also doesn't help that Luke A genuinely seems like a nice guy, which in turn means that I have more to emphasize in regards to positive things about his character.
