EastEnders gripped 7.4m viewers on Wednesday evening (June 20) with the build-up to Michael and Janine's wedding, overnight figures show.
The Walford soap brought 7.37m (33.8%) to BBC One at 8pm with an hour-long episode which saw Michael and Jean's twisted feud escalate ahead of the big day. Later, 797k (4.5%) watched BBC Three's repeat screening at 10pm.
Coronation Street, meanwhile, attracted 7.19m (36.5%) at 7.30pm on ITV1 as Karl was forced to explain himself, while 282k (1.2%) caught up an hour later on +1.
Emmerdale entertained 6.04m (33.6%) at 7pm as Alicia agreed to go ahead with the sham wedding, adding 256k (1.2%) on timeshift.
