I just carried on reading it as if it was factual like the previous paragraph, hook line & sinker.
And on the 'supporting your own' thing; I'm Welsh and very proud to be so but if a Welsh housemate was being a horrible twat the fact that they were Welsh wouldn't make me think they were any less of a twat and therefore they wouldn't get my support.
If anything i'd be more critical of them because they were from my home country and were setting a bad example.
Basically, if you're a twat you're a Universal twat (like Conor!)
