I don't remember Deana saying "why didn't you stick up for me" she just didn't like that they left in the middle of it. Nobody stuck up for Lauren because if IIRC nobody ever started a face to face argument with Lauren. Plus nobody needs sticking up for in a face to face you should be able to handle yourself, but if somebody is giving you moral support it is kind of s**t to have them leave just when it's getting big.
