the english cant box
they produce endless overhyped over rated boxers from henry cooper, to joe bugner, to frank bruno to ricky hatton and amir khan....alll over paid over hyped over rated
this is unique to england not any other nation in uk or abroad, they just love to back hyped losers especially in boxing
the ONLY great boxer england ever produced in the past 50 years is lennox lewis and he is canadian. other than that you have nigel benn, over rated, and chris eubank who was great but no one liked him because he seemed cocky he won so much? strange or what? i think eubank is terrific
the only other legendary british boxer in the past 30 years is the awesome undefeated joe calzaghe
the irish produced steve collins and barry mcguigan, the welsh had nathan cleverly , calzaghe and howard winstone who was a great too, the scots tidy flyweights world champsstatham. watt
the best british heavyweight ever (before lewis) was also welsh tommy farr who went 15 rounds with the best ever, joe louis in his prime in front of his home crowd in yankee stadium,
also strangely welsh fighters dont bleed like irish scots or english? has anyone a biological explanation for that?
for a nation as big and enormously wealthy as england their record compared to the smaller nations is unimpressive
england and english sports needs to quit allowing the newspapers to choose its heroes and champions, loook at daley thompson, the greatest athlete maybe ever from uk, ignored by alll? start with the olympics, forget celebrity sportsmen back the champions
