I don't think defending a relative for doing something nasty is that bad. Shows a bit of loyalty.

I also REALLY despised Becky for the way she treated the Lovely Lauren. I found the Wooden Spoon moniker to be highly telling in both it's irony (cause Lauren apparently is the big shlt stirrer in there) and jealousness (they all WISHED they were as thin and lovely as her!!)
