Conor is grumpy and mean all the time and that makes him "real." Deana is silent and pensive and observant and sometimes has fun and that makes her "fake." Those are all valid and realistic personality traits for one person to have.
Conor is mean, his aggression is in almost everything he says and does. I am really surprised that sort of behavior is acceptable to people just because he's a big bulky guy. Both Conor and Deana went into the house and didn't talk much but it's okay for a male. That makes him the strong silent type. A female doing it is a bitch who doesn't like anyone and it's unfairly assumed she talks about them behind their back.
Double standards don't work for me because they don't reflect reality.

He makes me laugh. Deana takes herself way too seriously. And not everyone on the show is selfish. Luke A isn't!
