I think that Deana is just trying to figure out the boundaries of their friendship? I assume this because the whole discussion started in front of everyone, she wasn't trying to hide it. I would assume that if she really wanted to sabotage it she wouldn't let everyone know, because people would be throwing themselves on her like she's a live grenade if she tried walking toward the diary room door now.

I think that she can learn something about life from Adam in this instance. I know she is capable of it and I hope she does. Adam keeps explaining what it means to be unselfish to the housemates, especially the two that hate each other the most for being selfish.
