Schools really need to put some schemes in place for Maths and English. Every English lesson should start with a few minutes on what "literally" means for people like Ashleigh, Becky and Caroline who think their heads will "literally explode" when someone annoys them. Maths lessons need to start on percentages, explaining that you can't give 1,000,000% effort etc. The current generation that get 12 straight A* grades at GCSE still seem unable to comprehend these basics.
