Thanks so much for all your birthday wishes folks!
Much appreciated, esp as the cards were a wee bit thin on the ground this year
. One son too busy with his own son, another too preoccupied with himself, sister rang last thing last night, but OH came through as usual, and I now have a DVD player (which he obviously wished I had bought him for HIS!) and a new gold bracelet.
I also persuaded him to take me to see 'Pirates of the Carribean' against his better nature. All in all, not too bad.
Oh, and Sticks, thanks for reminding me that I am considerably closer to the old bus pass then you are!
Knowing my luck they will abolish them shortly before I retire and raise the retirement age to 'work whilst you can still breathe unaided'..............
