There's an element of Julian, Cheryl etc have grafted in industry for at least 25 years and spent years earning peanuts, they get mild mid term success (Julian with Saturday Night Live and some lucrative panel comedy shows whilst Cheryl gets Eastenders). Then Situation (who was unemployed) comes along and cleans up becoming the second highest reality TV behind mega mega rich Kim Kadashian. So they are bound to be jealous. Plus ironically - since its CBB - reality TV is killing off scripted TV eg drama, soaps, comedy. It's cheaper to make Jersy Beach than it is to make Pretty Little Liars, How I Met Your Mother, 24, 2 Broke Girls, The Wire or Homeland etc

Interesting point about reality tv now replacing scripted tv
