Surprised or not at first eviction? [spoilers]
No spoilers in title, clever eh?
I really thought Layla would be going, as she just seems empty. But I guess the Australian audience like empty HMs just like they can in Britain sometimes. People sometimes see it as 'honest' I guess or the tears get them sympathy. Charne though would have been my second choice, I guess she hasn't really connected with people in the house so much (at least with what the HLs have shown). I thought Estelle would be more popular with the audience with the showmance. Not that I like the showmances, or silly tasks, but she is interesting beyond that maybe.
Overall this is still seeming very much like the British version. I wish it was a bit more mature and telling the HMs who the most popular is in the vote is a silly thing done in the UK as well. And I wonder if the crowd are coached sometimes, like the countdown to Charne appearing before the interview. Best part for me is probably some of the drama, particularly Estelle-Angie. The stuff about how 'fit' people are doesn't interest me as much.
The twist was definitely good and seemed original. Though the producers did twist it both times so they could get the result they wanted. Typical sadly of Big Brother producers globally. So this time round they penalised the men a life, even though I think it was obvious that the girls also broke rules first time around. But clearly it was felt it would be bad to lose another girl at this point. Luckily for the viewers it still ended up being a close result in both reveals. When it was the emo question I definitely thought Zoe, but with the final two Layla has the bigger build and I really thought she would be the weightlifter.
