Ian and Britney are/were not idiots. They just underestimated Dan's ruthlessness. Just as Boogie underestimated Dan/Britney/Ian's ruthlessness. Just as Janelle underestimated Boogie's ruthlessness.
The truth is, everyone has to trust people in that house to make it to the end. No one can win this game by themselves.
