Jim Carrey's role in Kick-Ass 2 seems to have been confirmed by director Jeff Wadlow and creator Mark Millar.
Last month (August 21), it was reported that Carrey had been approached to play The Colonel, a character who helps to "galvanise" the film's motley crew of unlikely superheroes.
Wadlow has now confirmed that the part has been cast - and strongly hinted that it went to Carrey. On Saturday (September 1), he posted on Twitter:

When cast member Christopher Mintz-Plasse asked who will portray The Colonel, Kick-Ass creator Millar chimed in, tweeting: "clue- he lives with 200 raccoons and parrots, owns the mask of Loki and named by spielberg as a genius."
