Got to agree with Lozza for sure. And I think it applies to most gay mainstream comics too. Alan Carr Graham Norton Zoe Lyons etc cant seem to get over their gayness even the ones who initial dont trade on being gay eventually bang on and on about being gay once hit mainstream eg Simon Amstell (used to be a bit less "gay") and Steven K Amos.
There is already Graham Norton and Alan Carr on TV doing the whole "us gays are so camp we hate sport*, straight men have no style (oh that tired old cliche, if youre going to stereotype the oppsite rings true; plenty of gays need style advice from.straight guys)".
Julian is a nice guy fundamentally but his comedy is very very dated. His whole "look im a homosexual" routine was cringey especially as previous cbb included a top ex - rugby player who just happened to be gay. theres a reason why clarey isnt on TV and it has nothing to do with 1993 comedy awards and norman lamont.
* Its as if cricketer Stephen davies and rugbys Gareth Thomas from cbb 9 never existes
