Well plenty of people do still find his sort of humour funny, just as they do with Alan Carr & Graham Norton...

It is quite 'seaside postcard' humour, full of double entrendres & the like, something that British humour has always had a niche in, like the "Carry On" films...

I just don't think Lorenzo gets it full stop, but then I'm not surprised from someone as dull as him
