I saw the stories on the news last night - I made a special effort to watch it.
The pilot of the last flight from New York, Mike Bannister, is the father of one of the guys I used to work with in the IT dept at my company.
Needless to say, when he told us what his dad did, we were always a bit sceptical - didn't stop us from badgering him to see if we could get free flights on Concorde though. But we never did!!
