I think there should be a third option. Some people are just ruled on pure animal instinct lizard brain selfishness. Pure base line survival mode.

Head = intellectualism. thinking about things in the big picture, and in historical context. Trying to understand the full scale of a decision before you act. understanding how your decision effects the world, not just yourself.

Heart = emotionalism. doing what feels morally right, with out necessarily thinking out the logical consequences, or seeing the big picture. idealist. being compassionate for the sake of being compassionate. doing things because you think it's right, even if it doesn't benefit you in any way.

Lizard Brain = survivalism. Not worrying about what makes sense logically, or what you think is morally right. Just doing something because you want it, no regard for others, purely selfish. the only thing that matters is what can you get out of it.


I think we're all a combination of all 3. I'd say that i'm 60% intellectualism 35% emotionalism 5% survivalism.
