There is a duty to be fair IMO - Shane was screwed over this year with the cancelling of an eviction after his HoH, while things like the Coup d'Etat in the past were a fair twist as they were either won or voted for and could be used over multiple weeks.
I'm bored of the Veto being used every single week so one regular twist I'd like to see is should the Veto be used that the viewers decide the replacement nominee. That really would change the game and make evictions far less predictable.

For some reason they tell the HMs before the first eviction in a double that there will be a second eviction later. It's like they don't want to surprise them too much. Wish it could be tougher all round, the whole have/have not thing is a joke.
The problem with twists is it can just help save the producers favourite. But that's really what the pandora's box thing does anyway. This whole series started off with the twist that some HMs weren't even eligible to be evicted (until it turned out after a few weeks). And of course they cancelled Frank's eviction.
It is a bit boring with the HoH always deciding the replacement nominee. It was always more dramatic in Save and Replace where the saved HM picked someone else from a board. All HMs should certainly take part in the veto, I really hate when they restrict that.
