I kind of agree with what you are saying,the thing I find hard to conceive is the fact both parents went for a meal and left the children with no babysitter,which i believe were available on the complex,how on earth could you sit down and enjoy a meal knowing your kids were alone,i dont care that they were asleep,anything could have happened,and although I feel deeply sorry for the parents,something deep down tells me it's their own fault,and i do think the media frenzy harmed the chances of finding her as whoever took her(IF they did)would hide even more.I just feel for Madeleine,she is exactly the same age as my daughter and I just know i couldn't go on if anything like that happened to her.
