Default ways to improve the nhs

1) write a constitution stating exactly what is expected of every staff member, with an overall mission statement/vision, stating too top priorities such as getting the hospitals cleaner (swedish hospitals get 60 times fewer cases of mrsa than we do)
2) prioritise everyone gets their scans quicker. whether its for blood clots, kidney stones, mri scans, put more money into keeping these scanners open way way way more hours. this will cost billions. But it will save billions in bed blocking , endless unnecessary medications, anti biotics, painkillers and staffing hours, it will also save lives and reduce months of unnecessary agony for patients.
3) listen to patient feedback. remember the patient is the most important person
4) when the nhs is to invest in equipment ensure the suppliers are likely to be around for the next few years, as parts will be needed. with no parts then you have major problems, broken machinery , broken lifts, lost hours, cancelled operations
5) get tougher with failing staff. politicians must stop kissing the backsides of all nhs staff. some are legends, but some are horrible sly, dishonest workshy people, who burden the other staff members and damage patient care
6) force the chief executives to meet more patients and staff members
7) review the offer of plastic surgery for people who have not suffered accidents. such a demand should be way behind life saving, health enhancing operations
8) allow nhs trusts to use private care insurance to offset their caring costs for people at home. this will save billions as people live longer at home with carers
all of these factors in the long run should save money, keep cleaner hospitals, save lives
