Glitter, real name Paul Gadd, was shown singing It Takes All Night Long. BBC bosses defended their decision. A spokesman said: “It would be inappropriate for the BBC to rewrite history, so the programme was shown in its entirety.”

Absolute tosh - the BBC edits programs all the time and cutting a "performer" from a program is hardly rewriting history ..... GG is patently one of the BBC's "favoured sons" .....
