Default Is this an attitude that's common and that I should accept?

Is it common? Am I over reacting in thinking this person is being selfish or a kill joy?

Most of the time this is how it goes-
me-Yay next week i'm going to do this and that, i'm so happy. (obviously telling them because i'm excited and want them to be happy for me)
person-aw I want to do that.
Me-aw sorry I know, you might get the chance one day. But yay so happy
Person-silence/side eye/slump. Why are you saying you're happy?
Me-because I am happy I got the opportunity.
Person-Oh so you don't care about me then I see.......

I mean is it wrong of me to expect the person to just say "aw Im happy for you" without having it be about them?
