How can he possibly be found guilty of these crimes if he did in fact even commit them.
How can you find someone guilty when you cannot even talk to them and they have no way at all in law of defending themselves.
So for me, no he should not be stripped of his Knighthood, if he did these things then obviously that is really awful, everyone though has the right in law to answer any allegations as to them, however a dead person cannot.
I am sorry, I don't hold with all this he coudn't be taken on. In the 60s he was only a disc jockey really, it was a different period I agree but many major careers fell because of scandal during that decade and the 70s too.
The man is dead, no one can talk to him directly, he cannot confirm or deny these allegations and he also cannot defend himself and fight these allegations either.
So in light of that I cannot see any justification of removing his Knighthood.
You cannot try a dead man and you certainly cannot find him guilty on just prosecution evidence with no defence possible to come from his instructions either.
