A live shark has been found on a golf course.
The leopard shark was discovered by an unnamed employee at a course in California, reports NBC San Diego.
Upon discovering the fish, which was "thrashing around on the grass" at the 12th hole, the worker placed the two-foot-long shark in his golf cart and drove it to the clubhouse.
Melissa McCormack, director of club operations at the San Juan Hills Gold Club in San Juan Capistrano, said: "It was just wriggling around. Honestly, this is the weirdest thing that's happened here."
The course lies less than four miles away from the Pacific Ocean, and it's thought that a bird may have pulled the shark from the water as it was found with two puncture wounds.
McCormack added: "He needed to get to the ocean right away."
The shark was temporarily placed in fresh water before being driven to the sea, where it was released.
