But back to your first ridiculous point Kiddo of "Not winning it after"...we lost to the two best teams that season after our last two wins(Real in 2000 & Barca in 09). Hardly comparable to going out in the group stage is it?

They played with 10 Men against the best team in the world for most the game in the Semis.. and they didn't just hold on to a draw they beat them. has that sunk in yet jobber? and you had to come back in the Semis in 99 against Juventus after being 3-1 down on Agg so it wasn't just the final as well and Juventus should have seen of that game a long long time before you mounted that come back but your Chelsea hate has probably made you forget about that
and i wasn't even talking about 2008 what has that got to do with anything? i was talking about 99 but now that you mention 08 i suppose you can thank Terry for that, and it doesn't really matter if it's the Knockout stage or Group stages you have to base it on the quality of the teams Chelsea have played and Juventus at the minute are the most consistent team in the world and even Shaktar are better then all 3 teams United have in their group
