Obversely not, downloads don't make good christmas presents. You can't exactly wrap up an mp3 in Christmas paper. It's interesting to note the X-Factor song didn't even make the top 40 download chart. I guess most downloads where illegal copies taken from the show soundtrack or from the single. People are like that these day's. Why pay when you can get it for free.

But I bet Any would have rather had a number one hit for charity and all the extra money that it would have generated for a good cause than to see the money lining Cowells and the producers of the shows pockets.
It was a pretty poor collection of Christmas singles when Slade can still get to number 23 with Merry Xmas Everybody that was first released in 1973! The other bands obversely weren't trying.
