History aside for a moment, in The UK today there is not in my opinion discrimination towards white males.
There is however a case for positive discrimination in the workplace for ethnic minority groups, LGBT groups, women and disabled individuals.
Companies are now encouraged to, via equal opportunities, to be more represented by minority groups.
This could be seen as discrimination, it is however making sure the workforce in the UK is more representative in society.
I fail to see how women are seen to come out as benefitting more than men, almost 40 years after the Equal Pay Act it's still to be implamented in most sectors......
