I see that which is funny because the US version despite getting 8 mil an ep, is usually #1 in the main 18-49 demo. (Wed has stiff comp from Modern Family and Survivor)

I think the US can thrive. It just needs that "Leona Lewis" star that pulls in people before the Voice US can find a good artist (Which is starting to look like Cassadee Pope, who is Hitting #1 on the singles chart of iTunes all the time)

I do agree with that article. I think that's why Idol has thrived all these years. Because they don't usually try modern songs, it's usually 60-80s songs with it being sung the same way multiple times by different Idols from different seasons
