10). Double posts
We've all had an encounter with one of these, if you're unlucky enough you've had a triple post. You have to then spend valuable time deleting them, which can sometimes take an eternity to do, and it is really rather frustrating when they do occur.
9). GIFS/Smilies
Now used in moderation they are okay, but when people overuse them or use a gif which is completely irrelevant to whatever it is they are replying really is quite annoying. The same for when somebody butchers a thread or post with an assortment of smilies.
8). People saying they are going to put you on ignore yet don't
Nothing more irritating than when people are having an argument and threaten to put you on ignore yet continue to argue and reply to your messages. JUST PUT THEM ON IGNORE OR STOP SAYING THAT YOU WILL!
7). Meet The Members Thread
A thread, which if used correctly, is a nice way to actually meet the members. However, it is often used by some to fish for compliments, relish in how 'beautiful' people tell them they are or by some the only time they ever post on TiBB is to show us an update of themselves. We don't care.
6). People moaning about warnings
It's a warning. Not an infraction, a warning. Moaning about it is pointless as it hasn't actually given you any infraction points, it's just reminding you to calm down or not do something. Making an appeal about it is even more pointless as it is
just a warning and going on about in a thread is just tedious for all to read.
5). Serious Debates section
Again, an area if used correctly can be a good forum, but more often than not a few spoil it by failing to actually debate and instead using it to try and force their opinions on people and get pissy when people have differing views, which leads to them then telling you that you are wrong, uneducated, a **** etc.
4). Spambots
Maybe not so annoying for forum members, but my GOD for the mods they are so annoying. Thousands upon thousands of spambots posting about jerseys, uggs, paris hilton's sex tape etc uncleverly disguised in a jumbled nonsensical story. They arrive in force and often bring reinforcements to hit all at the same time.
WE DON'T WANT YOUR JERSEYS OR UGGS AND NOBODY GIVES A **** ABOUT PARIS HILTONS SEX TAPE!
3). Bumping pointless threads
Just, no! The odd old thread being bumped for a relevant reason is tolerable, but when somebody bumps loads in one fowl swoop for no reason is really irritating. If you have nothing of importance to say then go to Meet the Members.
2). The word 'skype'
This word annoys me so much. If you are going to talk on skype then do it, announcing it to the forum does nothing, nobody cares.
1). The site running slow
You type out a massive post or a witty remark, hit send, and then have to wait twenty minutes for it to post by which time the impact of your post is lost. Even more annoying is when you post and then need to edit either a mistake or something else into it and it takes a lifetime to be able to do so, by which time the forum has moved on and another 40 posts in that thread have been posted.
