I've become a lot more selfish since I moved out of the house, mostly out of necessity - I've found that if I'm not out for myself then I'm just going to get ****ed over mercilessly by other people. I don't think being selfish is a bad quality when you're an adult. You're taught not to be as a child so it's sort of ingrained in you from a young age that you should always put others first, share things etc - but **** that, selfish people don't do that and they get ahead in life. I'm not endorsing it per se, I'm just saying it's not the wholly terrible quality that people make it out to be, things stop being so black and white when you get older.
