I don't believe it's been a bad year for reality TV. In fact I would suggest the opposite and say it's actually been a good year. Piers Morgan is a total hypocrite. Wasn't this the same Piers Morgan who famously declared he would drop all mention of Big Brother in favour of more serious news, then shortly after recanted by reintroducing Big Brother coverage following plummeting sales?

I admit I thought Big Brother this year was crap, but it did pull in the most viewers than any previous series. So even when it's bad it can still pull in viewers.

We've also had the brilliant That'll Teach 'Em, (Celebrity) Wife Swap and Master And Servant. Not bad for a supposedly 'bad year for reality TV'.
