Which in some ways it does, but I would have liked to have seen these things evicted housemates have said that have happened in there.

It wouldn't surprise me if this is the main reason for no live feed. It allows C5 to make the show be seen in whatever way they like. No one can argue that this or that happened apart from evicted housemates, the public can only believe what they see.
