I think sometimes it's is done out of fright or frustration Vanessa,my little boy is always up to mischief and I have shouted at him as he has scared me sometimes,he is a devil for putting stuff in his mouth(something I have a fear of)he is also sent to the naughty step,I find the thing that works best is taking something off them they like.And no you'de never go so far as to make anyone bleed.
