I believe in fate in the sense that certain scenarios have predetermined outcomes. Kind of like if you smoke, you are destined to get lung cancer. I don't think any kind of "god" has anything to do with it, i just think because there are certain laws in the universe, you are destined to have certain things happen in your life based on the direction your life is going. If you cheat on your wife, it is your fate that she'll probably leave you. Or if you choose to drink too much, it's your fate that you'll have problems with your liver.

I dunno if that's the type of "fate" you mean.
