Being a paedophile in the very definition of the word is not a psychological disorder, it's just socially unacceptable and highly unusual (much like most other types of paraphillia) and obviously must be difficult for anybody that is sexually attracted to children and has to (and does) refrain from acting on their urges, it only becomes a psychological issue when they are incapable of restraining themselves and go out and commit an obviously awful crime on a defenceless minor. The problem is is that you don't really get a lot of sympathy to those who can restrain themselves and don't act on their urges, and that side of it isn't really discussed much which I imagine only puts those people into a much more difficult position than they're already in...it's not as if you can 'come out' as a paedophile, the reaction would be one of sheer disgust, imagine how it must be feel to know you're attracted to people you shouldn't be and can't tell anyone and will most likely never be able to resolve it properly.
