Normally, I would just wait this out but I have a public event I have to attend in four hours. I have to somehow get rid of this cold by then. I have already taken more than the recommended dose of cold medication, and though I have ruined my liver, the cold is still going strong.

I need advice on how to beat this cold within the next three and a half hours.

I don't think you can get rid of a cold in 3 hours Roy,maybe put a towel over your head and steam it out,or something like Olbas or Vicks might help.have you got to sit by anyone? if so the latter could make you pong a bit,but it may ease your symtoms and be sure to take plenty of tissues,good luck
