Believe me, if MPs were really in charge, their constituencies would be in *******ing chaos within weeks. The real work is done by their case workers, secretaries, researchers and organisers. One of the MPs I work with has been sacked from every other job he's ever hard. And there's a reason for that: he's useless. But he gets away with it because he's charming, engaging and a great speaker. If all the constituency staff jacked it in tomorrow, we'd see what a shower of ****e MPs actually are.
