update: I went to the store today and brought 3 gerbils instead, they're so adorable. There was 5 so I would've gotten all 5 of them but one was white with red eyes which is bad apparently and the other was an ugly stone color.. (plus I only had £30 and they're £10 each.)
so in the end I brought a black one, a sandy one and a white/grey one
i'll post some pics soon once they've settled in.
