I haven't witnessed any racism. Schoolgirl childish bullying and bitching perhaps, but we've had that in BB3, BB6, BB7 and in CBB4 with Jodie Marsh which IMO seemed much worse. Is it because Shilpa is a famous actress or is it because she's Indian.

Some of the comments said towards her were damn right ignorance, like about the food and the towel.. but it just seems like a culture shock. I mean, chucking bones down a toilet isn't a very smart thing to do, and neither is cooking a chicken for half an hour. Touching other peoples food isn't very nice either. NO i'm not excusing anyones behaviour, and I do really like Shilpa, but most of the stuff that has been said has been blown out of proportion by people that get their binoculars out to find something to be offended by. Does anyone feel the same bl***y way?!??!?
If it's just a culture shock and nothing to be bothered about then why are Jermaine, Dirk and Cleo not getting in on the act.

It's bit more than you're making it out to be and, for me, it's the ignorance and uglyness that's at the heart of their reaction to Shilpa that makes it completely unacceptable.

Is it Racism? maybe - maybe not. It is, however, ignorance and intollerance and thats equally unacceptable. Why are they not trying to understand her culture instead of making snide remarks about it.
