If we're generalising, from my experience in the planning world, so-called planners haven't got a clue how the "other half" live, especially long-established residents in rural communities. Most so-called planners are emotionless jobsworths building up hefty pensions to buy substantial retirement properties at inflated prices in the Lake District or the South of France .....
