I don't think people have really understood what last night was about either, although to be fair I was confused at first. Basically, Michael would have been called to the Diary Room earlier in the night (he was in there for a long time during the 5* live feed, the twins mentioned it) and told the results of the suitcase poll and what was going to happen. He was obviously in on the fact that the housemates would be watching him (as in Michael the actor knew that, but Michael the housemate has to pretend he doesn't), that was confirmed on the C5 website. So whilst the housemates think he doesn't know they were watching, he can show a different side to the Michael character, i.e. what he's like inside the Diary Room when he knows he doesn't have to pander or be nice to the others, making them question whether he's such a nice guy after all because they can see what he's like behind their backs. Now this of course was all part of the act, as I said Michael knew he was being watched but had to pretend he wasn't and so hammed it up and went on about how he didn't care about their suitcases and he already has a few people to nominate in mind so that they all think they've now seen what he's really like (when of course it's all part of the act, but they don't know that). That adds a whole other dimension and I really liked the way they did that, I thought they were going to reveal he was an actor at first but I was pleasantly surprised.

On the whole I think he's doing a decent job, the first night he overacted a bit but last night as I've already said I think the whole thing was done really well, he also seems to be fitting in with the others when he's not the focus either so that's a good thing.

I'm just glad they've tried something different, I'm impressed and really like the idea of us having polls to decide what he does, I just hope they up the ante a bit soon and make him nastier and sneakier. And I also hope it doesn't end any time soon either and I really don't understand why people want it to, IMO it should last at least a month but to be honest I'd rather it just lasted the entire series. It doesn't mean it has to take over the series, people are over exaggerating by saying that (I mean it hardly took over the highlights last night, most of the focus was on Sam and Jemima and Dexter and Sallie, he only had a little bit), and it's perfectly possible to balance him with other house action. You could have one or two decisions to make for him a week I reckon and that'd balance both sides of the show enough.

I also don't think it should end early because of how much they plugged this twist, it was the main 'secret' as part of the ad campaign and for them to end it after like a week as they usually do would just be sh*te and the same as always. And plus, contrast the housemates reactions if it would be revealed in a week to what it'd be like after 10 weeks. I just have this vision on finale night of them all sitting round and Big Brother showing them a VT of all the times across the series when they've said 'I think Michael's an actor' or questioned stuff about him, and then at the end of it they tag on the second creepy VT we got shown of him on the first launch night...that'd be MILES better than next week them going 'Michael you've been acting, your task is over, say goodbye'...YAWN.

So yeah, I like it and think people need to give it a chance to develop.
