I think our sexuality is hard wired into us and social influences play only a small part. Social influences may delay one's social declaration of sexuality the way a large number of gay men and women are forced to hide their true feelings because family and other peer groups treat the subject with disdain.

why a proportion of the population are born as Non Heterosexuals is still open to debate..!!!
