Torvill and Dean come up with all the routines for the pro ice skaters and the celebrities in just 2 days each week for months! Aswell as their own routines too!
When the show starts there are maybe 11 or 12 celebrities and to come up with 11 or 12 routines in just 2 days aswell as their own routine must be a lot of pressure and hard work!
This year through they didn't ice skate each week apart from near the end of the group routines at the start of each show. But sometimes they did ice skate on their own together.
When the pro ice skater and the celebrities have finished ice skating, the host Phil will talk to them. Then Phil will talk to Torvill and Dean about the contestants performance.
Some people don't realise how much work Torvill and Dean do on the show and how they put everything into the show.
Christopher Dean lives in the USA and is in the UK for 6 months or more each year to do with Dancing On Ice and the tour.
Jayne Torvill lives in the UK and has to travel from her home to the Dancing On Ice studio each week for months.
Then they do the Dancing On Ice tour after the main show! Last year for the first time they hosted the tour!
Torvill and Dean ice skate together about 4 or 5 times. They added 2 shows each day to the tour so that would mean they ice skated 8 or 10 times each day! Also hosting 4 hours each day even through they never hosted before but they did a great job.
Each tour lasts 2 hours and the tour starts at 1:45pm and again at 7:30pm which is 4 hours each day. Not forgetting their rehearsals too!
They have worked hard on each series (9 series) of Dancing On Ice including 1 series in Australia too!
Torvill and Dean want to slow down a bit now but they said they will not stop ice skating together.
Maybe they might have their own tour together? I heard they and ITV are in talks for a new show? But I think they will have a less role in the (maybe) new show?
