Nah once the battery is full it bypasses it and just supplys the laptop with power.
The laptop im on now has rarely had the adapter removed in 2 years and still shows as 96% capacity last time i tested it. I run it on battery occasionally only when i need to and it lasts nearly as long now as when it was new.
Running it on battery is what wears it down.
If you run your laptop on battery power every time ts full it will be pretty much naffed within 18 months to 2 years its better to keep it on charge as much as possible.
