I really like Charlie but i think she displays characteristics of someone who's either been on Anti-depressants for a long time and isn't anymore or someone who needs to be on some sort of anti-anxiety/anti-depressant medication.
She's got a kind of nervous energy that goes hand in hand with that kind of thing (my opinion from personal experience).
That's another reason why i hate seeing Jackie snapping at her and shutting her down like she does. It's not good for her confidence to be treated like that.
