Despite her apologists on here, Hazel herself has enough nous to realise that if you persistently poke a pit-bull with a stick something bad can happen.
She knows she did a bit of poking. The pit-bull got ejected from its kennel and she's worried it will look bad for her.
I really don't think it's any more complex than that!
