You can't take deodorant in your hand luggage though but you can in the suitcase which goes in the hold. Once you pass security though you can buy whatever you want in duty free and take it on board with you, they sell bulk alcohol/tobacco/aftershave etc. Duty free in itself is quite fun. What airport are you flying from?

I actually quite enjoy flying, I'm always apprehensive something could happen and flying to America only heightened that for obvious reasons but all in all it's fine. Some people hate take off and landing but I find it amazing looking out of the window and seeing everything looking small. It does hurt your ears though when they pop, that's the only bad and really irritating thing.

If you think you may get bored and aren't bothered about the in flight entertainment then I'd suggest not sleeping too much tonight so you'll be tired on board, you can sleep half the journey then.

Have fun though, I'm jealous...New York is somewhere I've always wanted to go

yeah I wasn't sure how much to sleep tonight, think I may have an early night tbh, I mean I don't need too much sleep so then i'll be able to enjoy more of the journey, i'm flying from heathrow!

oh okay, does metal include like plugs and everything cos obviously im taking chargers etc in my hand luggage not in my suitcase. super embarrassing taking a retainer out though!
