I'm the youngest of 6. I wouldn't say I was favored, but I think I definitely benefited from the battles fought by siblings, and the lessons my parents learned.
It had all been done before - girlfriends staying over, parties when they were on holiday, drugs, drinking, petty vandalism and general stupidity.
My parents had learned the lessons of how to deal with it all, so I had the easiest ride through. From the outside looking in, it could be viewed as favoritism, but it was more about my parents than me.
