Because they enjoyed seeing her suffer.
And not in the lighthearted-if-meanspirited way of past years where people have just found the actual reactions to the shocks funny.
They enjoyed it in the sense of actually getting off on taking power away from her, dominating her and making her feel small. The motivations behind it went way beyond "a task". They loved it, because they dislike her. Like a kid in school deliberately whacking someone they don't like in the face with a dodgeball in PE, pissing themselves with laughter, and then passing it off as "part of the game".
